Teaching Addition & Subtraction Computation Skills: A Diagnostic & Prescriptive Approach (2 Volumes)
Morningside's Diagnostic & Prescriptive math program is a 7-volume set of materials designed to assess each student's arithmetic skills (diagnose) and teach the deficient skills (prescribe). Students complete an assessment that measures performance across 120 instructional objectives in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and calculating simple percents. Upon completing the Diagnostic & Prescriptive placement test, teachers examine each student's error patterns, distinguishing between operation and fact errors. Students then receive instruction in small groups based upon their deficiencies.
